Career Highlights
My path into adult learning didn't start in a government office — it started in early childhood education, and that foundation still shapes how I build training today.
-
Started as an Affiliated Provider at Hurlburt Field, holding both a military and state license — my first experience designing learning environments from the ground up.
-
Designed professional development experiences for early childhood educators to build and strengthen their classroom skills.
-
Assisted two different military child development facilities in achieving NAEYC accreditation, guiding programs through rigorous national standards.
-
Designed, then later redesigned, Spoon Theory training around participant experience and open discussion — the team was still using the shared language months later.
-
Built problem-solving and team-building training exercises in my current role, including a hands-on communication exercise that intentionally limited clarifying questions, so participants could feel the impact of unclear instructions firsthand and reflect on their own assumptions.
-
Created hands-on travel training using a mock Defense Travel System environment, giving members a safe place to practice and make mistakes before it counted for real.
-
Adapted OPSEC training into parallel word-based and number-based formats, letting participants choose the modality that matched how they actually process information.
-
Designed fundraising training for teams and team captains with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, helping drive campaigns that raised over $900K.
What ties it together: whether the learner is a toddler, a new team captain, or a federal employee navigating a new system, the job is the same — meet them where they are, and build something they can actually use.
